I
started photography at the age of 12 within the school
photo club where I discovered the magic of argentic
black+white (6x6 format) using a Lubitel camera. On
leaving high school and being un-equipped, I stopped
photography until I was 24 yrs old. With my first months
salary I bought myself a modern SLR camera. As a fan of
motorsport, I started photographing racing cars from
1991 until 1995. In 1998 having worked on studio
techniques (thanks to Karim), I launched into the world
of models specialising in female models. This remains to
be my specialist subject covering portraits, underwear
and more recently nudes. In early 1998, I met Claude
Destribats, master of womens portraits. His work
inspired me to choose between either changing subject or
driving me to acquire the same standard of excellence.
He also taught me that it is always possible to achieve
more, and that not everything has been done. When
opportunities arise I can turn my hand to shoot for
reporting, advertising and company brochures....
My
photographic approach is unlimited and perhaps deceiving
as I prefer to take pictures of women and enhance their
natural beauty. I believe that creating a picture of
something you like will produce a picture that is truly
more gratifying than accurate.
I
am always looking for new female models including
debutantes, so if you like my work and would be
interested in posing for me, please write including some
photos. I work in the Paris suburb of La Défense.
