Abwaerts is a photo project, which was created by Martin Pelzer and Anna Phobia at the beginning of 2001 in Berlin. 
Martin photographs, Anna models, and the rest of the work is split. 
For us, fetish photography is not just a hobby, but a passion. 
Using light and film we seek to present the fetish model with aesthetic purity. We keep the pictures as simple as possible, maintaining the clarity of the composition. 
Form, material and contrast are brought to the fore. To achieve this we predominantly photograph in black/white, recently taking on colour as an additional challenge.
Fetish is not about crude images. The beauty of the material speaks for itself.
Abwaerts is a non-commercial project, and will remain so. The cash from print sales etc. flows without exception into new shootings. Our living costs we earn with moving pictures (Martin as a transmission technician and Anna as a camera assistant) and we are therefore in the lucky position to be able to also operate Abwaerts freely and flexibly.
