Ron
is the owner of Romantic Image and the photographic
artist. His photographs for Hilton Hotels
have been published world wide; however his photography
has remains part time and has pursued a demanding
professional career in another field. He is
currently in the final phase of the New York
Institute of Photography's professional photographers
program.
Due
to his schedule he only takes a limited number
photography clients for the Romantic Image, therefore
most appointments are made several weeks in advance.
However, when a rush job is needed he can sometimes
accommodate the client.
When
a client contacts him through email or telephone, the
first step is to set an appointment to discuss the
clients wishes and for the client to see Ron's portfolio.
At this meeting the finical issues will be discussed.
An appointment for the photo shoot will be made at the
end of the meeting.
The
shoot location may be the client's home, Ron's
studio, an outdoor location or a combination of these
places. On the shoot day Ron will bring a series
of layout proposals that fit the client's desires and
the constraints of the location. The client, and Ron
first discuss the options and the client chooses which
of the photo concepts to pursue (usually 2-3) for the
shoot. It is Ron's job to take what is in the client's
head and make it into a finished print. This might be
done with the camera but it might be done using
digital manipulation
later on.
Ron
shoots between 48 and 100 negatives at each shoot in
order to give the client plenty of time to relax as well
as encouraging the spontaneity that is the key to
capturing their true inner self.
In
approaching this business Ron has a few core
beliefs.
I
believe that every client is unique and deserves a
photographic artist who appreciates and respects that
fact.
I
believe every image should be a reflection of the
client's unique inner being.
I
believe our clients deserve more than a rushed
20-minute, pre-planned session at McPhoto; rather each
photo shoot should be a collaborative effort between
the photographer and the client to capture that
person's uniqueness.
I
believe exciting images are not the sole property of
Hollywood stars, but can be made for anyone who is
willing to reveal their inner self.
I
believe the human body is inherently beautiful and our
intimate images made with an artist's eye are
empowering to our client's inner self.
I
believe in our client's right to privacy. I
NEVER share our clients' names or photos or without
their prior permission.
