David
Gilleece was born in New York City. He earned a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Fashion Institute
of Technology, where he majored in fashion design and
illustration, in 1990. From 1990 to 1997, he
illustrated a series of children's books for
HarperCollins publishers, while continuing his arts
education in New York, Paris, and Italy.
In
1995, David Gilleece moved from New York to Bucks County,
Pennsylvania, where he currently spends his time
creating photographs, color drawings, and collage.
