"Tony Butcher is one of the most important figurative photographers to have emerged in Britain in the 1990´s. His works demonstrates an acutaly creative eye with great technical ability. Tony is one of the top Photographers of the male body, specialising in the black male. He has been collected by a number of important connoiseurs of art and fine art photography. He had also had many very successful one man exibitions, many in London including top Mayfair and St. James galleries, "The Royal Miles Gallery and Hartnolls, in Amsterdam a hugely successful show at the gallery where Gilbert and George and Damien Hurst have also shown their work. In Paris the Millenium show at " Le Mots a La Bouche" and in San Francisco at Soho the most successful show to that date..."
