Daniel Bauers's photographic talent was already mentioned in his grade reports. Just after leaving school he started with a professional apprenticeship as photographer, but anyway, he could never imagine to work as an employee in a photo studio or an advertising agency during his whole life.

So, his independent career started with many small and completely unspectacular orders. Empty cosmetics bottles, tool kits and a whole catalog full of screws stood at the beginning of his career. In between times a small report about the inauguration of some new building, a wheel-chair advertising photo and many photos of pop concerts, brought at least from time to time a little money into the chronically empty artists purse.

However, from the beginnig his true passion was intended for the artistic portrait and the sensual and erotic fine art nude photography. 1986, meanwhile 29 years old, he opened his own studio for portrait and nude photography of women.
Smaller and larger orders (girl photography, advertising photos, etc.) joined soon. In his free time he devoted himself to his artistic work whose results were published in several photo books and magazines. 1998 his first own photo book with liberal work, erotic black and white nude photography from Madagascar, was published by Edition Reuss, Munich.

For a long time Daniel Bauer works no longer only in the studio. Particularly younger customers (and naturally most of the commercial customers) prefer photos "on location" to the classic studio photos. Together with his girlfriend he travels, whereever his orders and liberal project ideas lead him.

Today his photographic job consists of three areas: Commercial photographic work (mainly undergarment advertising and packing, erotic girl photography etc.) Private orders of his female customers and liberal artistic work with amateur models and on journeys.

The artistic fine art nude and travelling photographies find use in books, calendars and magazines, on postcards and posters, his original pictures adorn walls in private apartments and public offices, in bars or beauty salons...
